Low Carb Spaghetti Squash Spaghetti Recipe

recipe Aug 02, 2023

I absolutely love Italian Food...but I also love to take care of my health and fitness so enjoying a giant bowl of pasta isn't really ideal. One of my favorite ways to get my Italian Pasta fix while also making sure I am getting a healthy meal that is packed full of nutrition is with this Spaghetti Squash Spaghetti Recipe.

The first part of this is the Spaghetti Squash. Spaghetti squash is such a great starchy vegetable because it is packed full of so many important vitamins and minerals, but it also makes for a great low carb recipe that you can use to swap out regular pasta for.

1 cup of Spaghetti Squash is around 30 calories with only 8-10g carbs! I love using this easy spaghetti squash recipe with friends and family and topping it off with a delicious homemade spaghetti sauce (another recipe video on my channel) sprinkled with some fresh cheese. This also makes for an easy healthy dinner recipe for the whole family!

Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

-Carefully using a sharp knife first slice off each end of the spaghetti squash then stand the spaghetti squash up and slice in half.

-Using your hand or a spoon scoop out all of the seeds and pulp inside.

-Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray and place the spaghetti squash cut side down.

-Bake at 400F for 35-40 minutes until squash has a golden brown edge.

-Let Cool. Then using a fork scrape out the insides of the squash until it is fully scraped and looks like spaghetti.

*You can top with homemade spaghetti sauce (like the one I show you how to make in this video), cooked ground Turkey and a little Parmesan cheese for a low carb recipe for the traditional spaghetti. *You can also enjoy this as a healthy low carb side dish just add some grass-fed butter, salt and pepper.

-->>This video will show you how I made my whole meal using the spaghetti squash, the homemade pasta, some chicken apple sausage, goat cheese and basil to get the perfect ratio of protein, fats, and carbs making this an easy and healthy meal prep recipe.
